  1. We need to refuse to be pulled apart by our carnal nature and egotistical pride. We need the church to refuse division within our family over tertiary matters so we can have the public integrity as one family to speak to and lead our nation in fundamental and central matters that are of far greater importance to the health of our nation. We need to pray like it all depends on God, because in reality, I believe it does;

    1. Hi Mike. Thanks for writing. We should indeed avoid division over tertiary matters but we can certainly;y get tangled up over the meaning of “tertiary”. On minor points of difference where the Bible allows, we should discuss with genteel civility. We can disagree and still be Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Today’s society equates disagreement to hating the person one disagrees with. This should not be so! On matters of false teaching discordant with the Bible, we are to be unified against such teachings. “If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine [is disloyal to what Jesus Christ taught], do not receive him [do not accept him, do not welcome or admit him] into [your] house or bid him Godspeed or give him any encouragement. For he who wishes him success [who encourages him, wishing him Godspeed] is a partaker in his evil doings.” (2 John 10-11) AMPC
      Do not receive or accept such a person. We are commanded to part from their company because staying puts us in agreement with the wickedness being taught. You’re absolutely right, “We need to pray like it all depends on God, because in reality, I believe it does;”
